📖Scripture: “For He will sit like a refiner... He will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver.”
Malachi 3:2–3
🔎Reflection: The Lord sits as a Refiner—patient, watchful, intentional. He never walks away from the forge. He is the Divine ARTISAN, not a hobbyist. He is about holiness, not haste. The LORD is producing purity in the Bride of Christ. He knows the material is ready when He sees His reflection in us (Rom 8:29, 1 Pet 1:6–7). God’s people are not to be stained by the world but sanctified through fiery trials and the washing of the Word (Eph 5:25–27). His refining isn’t primarily or exclusively for individuals—it’s for the devoted members of His Body… the covenantal people as His Bride. The Christ, Jesus, isn’t returning for a scattered group of autonomous souls, but for The Church, the purified Bride, presented holy, spotless, and without blemish or anything of the sort!
🤺Action: Consider how you view church: Is it an obligatory religious weekend activity? Is it a religious institution? Is it a spiritual food court with a menu full of programs and activities to choose from? Or is it what The Bible reveals, The Bride of Christ? The LORD is the Divine Artisan sitting patiently… working the material in the refiner’s fire. He’s removing all the impurities of selfishness, pride, and sin.
Take this divine opportunity for what it is - a gift of God’s mercy and grace. Repent where convicted. Thank God for the purifying fires of life that expose the junk and garbage. Renew your devotion to Christ in and through a solid local church. That is committed to the process of purification through the washing of the WORD: Gathering with Christ, Growing in the WORD, Giving of Firstfruits, and Going in the power and unity of the GOSPEL! If you’ve been withdrawn or disengaged, repent, commit, and re-engage as a functional, sanctified member of Christ’s Body & Bride.
Malachi 3:7 reads, "Return to Me, and I will return to you," says the LORD of Armies.
🙏Prayer: Almighty and eternal God of Holy Trinity, You are holy and You call Your people to holiness. Heavenly Father, my desire is to worship you in spirit and in truth. LORD Jesus, I thank You for loving Your Bride, The Church, with a zealous, jealous, and redeeming love… even unto death on a cross! Holy Spirit, cleanse us by the WORD and sanctify us through the refiner’s fire; form us together into God’s Masterpiece, Christ’s radiant Bride who reflects the Imago Dei! Help me return to you with a heart of worship! I pray in Jesus' precious and holy name. Amen.
