THE LAMB'S BLOOD

ree

📖Scripture:

"...but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot"

1 Peter 1:19

🔎Examination:

The "social redemption" gospel peddled by politically radical left-wingers is a counterfeit that traces its recent historical origins to the Jacobin leadership during the French Revolution—the Enlightenment's emphasis on human reason over divine authority. Yet its true roots plunge deeper, back to Eden's garden, where humanity first rejected God's sovereignty and seized the right to define good and evil for themselves (Gen 3:5-6).

Like those ancient rebels, modern left-wing liberals exalt human autonomy, insisting that societal structures, not personal sin, are the root of evil. This manifests in the social justice gospel, which subordinates individual choice to the coercive "greater good," justifying tyrannical ideologies like Marxism, Nazism, Communism, and Socialism as essential tools for engineering a sinless utopia. The following are just a few examples:

  • Terry McAuliffe (Former Democratic Virginia Governor) "I don’t think parents should be telling schools what they should teach." 2021 gubernatorial debate, defending state curriculum control over parental input.

  • Melissa Harris-Perry (MSNBC Host) "We have to break through our kind of private idea that kids belong to their parents or kids belong to their families..." 2013 MSNBC promo and blog, advocating communal/state rearing over family sovereignty.

  • Jack Schneider & Jennifer C. Berkshire (Education Historians; Washington Post Op-Ed) "Parents claim they have the right to shape their kids’ school curriculum. They don’t... Schools are in charge of what happens in the classroom, even if that runs counter to the wishes of parents." 2021 op-ed, arguing U.S. law prioritizes state-directed education over parental rights. (Praised by Randi Weingarten, AFT President: "Great piece on parents' rights and #publicschools."

  • National School Boards Association (NSBA; Teachers' Union Affiliate) Parental objections to school decisions are "equivalent to a form of domestic terrorism." 2021 letter to the Biden administration, urging federal intervention against protesting parents.

  • Karl Marx (Communist Manifesto Co-Author) Communism requires "public education" under state control, with "combination of education with industrial production" to abolish family-based upbringing; "Do you charge us with wanting to stop the exploitation of children by their parents? To this crime we plead guilty." The 1848 Manifesto, envisioning state seizure of child-rearing to eradicate bourgeois family structures.

Scripture exposes left-wing socialist Progressivism as futile folly. Romans 5:12 declares that sin entered through one man, infecting all with total depravity—no one is born innocent (Jer 17:9). No social reform can erase humanity’s inherent corruption. Progressivism echoes Pelagianism, a 4th-century heresy from the monk Pelagius, which denies original sin and asserts humans can achieve righteousness apart from divine grace. The lens of Pelagianism reveals the errors of Progressivism’s "Big Three" heresies:

  1. Class-Based Conflict as Core Ideology: Progressivism’s oppressor-oppressed framework, including Critical Race Theory’s racial lens, assumes humanity can eradicate injustice through societal engineering, prioritizing conflict over divine reconciliation. This denies total depravity (Rom 5:12; Jer 17:9) and Christ’s completed redemptive work (John 19:30; Acts 4:12). By trusting government to overcome sin’s effects, it fosters division, rejecting the Gospel’s call to unity in Christ (Gal 3:28; Eph 2:14-16).

  2. Materialist Human-Centered Worldview: Progressivism elevates materialism and statism, claiming humans can build just systems by exchanging divine truth for human solutions (Rom 1:25). This idolizes human ingenuity over God’s Word (Rom 1:18-20), subverts the Church’s role (Eph 4:11-16), and negates the Gospel’s sufficiency (Matt 12:30). Its collectivism offers a counterfeit salvation, failing to address sin’s root (Gen 3:6; John 3:19).

  3. Utopian Deception and Relativism: Progressivism’s utopian promises mirror Satan’s lie in Eden, offering a human-achieved paradise devoid of God (2 Cor 11:14). Rooted in relativistic truth claims, it promotes a deceptive vision of earthly perfection, akin to the Tower of Babel (Gen 11:1-4). By preaching righteousness apart from God (Pr 14:12), it rejects Christ as the exclusive remedy (Rev 13:8) and builds doomed counterfeit kingdoms (Phil 1:6).

Progressivism, like the Tower of Babel (Gen 11:4), arrogantly seeks to construct a God-less heaven on earth, rendering Christ’s redemption obsolete (Acts 4:12). By denying original sin and exalting human effort, it parallels heretical ideologies like Mormonism, elevating humanity to godhood. Scripture unmasks this as folly, affirming the Church alone as God’s ordained vessel for truth and redemption (Eph 4:11-16), incompatible with Progressivism’s human-centered deception (Gen 3:6; Ps 139:23-24).

In reality, this pursuit of humanly-achieved collective salvation apart from the cross is the wide path that leads to destruction... testified to by the countless gravestones of those who disagreed. The second death of perpetual torment, HELL, is not an unending state of punishment inflicted by God (2 Peter 3:9), but rather the terminus of willful choice by everyone rejecting the atoning power of the Lamb of God's precious blood (1 Peter 1:19; John 3:19; Rev 13:8).

Sinful beings surrendering individual choice and freedoms for an unachievable utopian "greater good" only perpetuate bondage. True freedom comes solely through regeneration by the Holy Spirit. It produces joyful repentance, obedience, and submission to Christ's exclusive lordship (Acts 4:12). Every delusion of "good" divorced from God is a satanic masquerade (2 Cor 11:14), luring willing souls (Rom 1:18-20) into eternal separation... as they encourage others to follow (Rom 1:32).

Test yourself: are you gathering with Christ in and through His church, growing in obedience to His Word, giving your redeemed life away fully as worship in spirit and truth, and going in the power and unity of the GOSPEL as His ambassador? If not, you're scattering in rebellion and chasing shadows of a false gospel of alternative redemption and a self-righteousness that leaves you eternally condemned.

🤺Action:

  • Read Michael J. Kruger's book, The Ten Commandments of Progressive Christianity. Link >>HERE<<

  • Contemplate the preciousness (Hebrews 9:22) of Christ's blood. Review if your life honors that priceless sacrifice through humble devotion and service within a local church or cheapens it via sporadic apathetic (non)attendance, consumer faith, or program shopping as an end-user.

  • Identify blemishes in your devotion (Leviticus 22:20). Examine church devotion and involvement (not mere volunteering). Is it giving yourself away as Christ gave Himself? That's the intended meaning of The Lord's Supper. Or is your "sacrifice" tainted by prioritizing parachurch, charity, and non-profit entities that divert your firstfruits from Christ's Body & Bride, exposing scattering rather than gathering with Christ.

  • Apply JTB's Lamb of God typology (John 1:29) to your ministry. List ways you, like John the Baptist, overtly proclaim and live out the reality of Christ's precious blood in the church and community to judge (based on the objective revelation of God's WORD) if your deeds truly align with biblical truth or the heresies of human customs, rituals, patterns, and rituals.

🧠Reflection:

In prayer, reflect on Christ's perfect sacrifice and priceless blood, which ransomed and freed you from slavery to sin. Invite the Holy Spirit's conviction to demolish every pretension opposing the knowledge and reality of Christ (2 Cor 10:5), including lies, distortions, and cultish elements. Pursue ongoing sanctification through your full identity in Christ (baptism), glorifying the eternal Holy Trinity—Father, Son, and Spirit—through adoration and surrendered devotion within the Body and Bride of Christ.
