WAKE UP!

WAKE UP!
WAKE UP!

“Wake up, you drunkards, and weep! Wail, all you drinkers of wine; wail because of the new wine, for it has been snatched from your lips.” -Joel 1:5

We live in a culture driven by trends and image over truth. We are watching a subtle yet dangerous transformation unfold. Many corporations, once viewed as neutral entities of commerce, have increasingly aligned themselves with ideologies that redefine and undermine fundamental truths—truths about identity, love, equality, and justice. These aren’t merely public relations decisions; they reveal something deeper about the spiritual climate of our time.

The apostle Paul warns us in Romans 12:2: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” This isn’t just a call to be different for difference’s sake. It’s a call to spiritual discernment—a refusal to accept the shifting moral standards of a world in rebellion against God.

Recently, voices like Robby Starbuck have helped expose the lack of integrity in many corporate DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) and LGBTQ-aligned initiatives. What’s been revealed is not genuine conviction, but opportunism. Companies often jump onto the latest social bandwagon to avoid backlash or appeal to a loud minority, only to backtrack and claim ignorance when the financial consequences hit. This isn’t moral leadership—it’s moral compromise.

Paul describes this erosion in 1 Timothy 4:1-2: “The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars…” This may sound harsh to modern ears, but Scripture does not mince words when it comes to truth and deception. What appears as compassion or progress is nothing more than intentional spiritual confusion disguised in virtue-sounding language.

Words like “love,” “grace,” and “inclusion” have been hijacked and redefined. Instead of pointing to God’s holy character and Christ’s sacrificial love, they now serve ideologies that celebrate sin, distort identity, and reject biblical authority. This isn’t just a social or political problem—it’s a spiritual one.

Colossians 2:8 urges: “See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ.”

Scripture reveals (Eph 6:10-12) that our battle is not against people, but against spiritual forces, powers, and principalities orchestrating deception and destruction, to lead many away from truth. King Jesus didn’t come to affirm our fleshy, carnal, and sinful desires; He came to rescue us from them. “This is the verdict,” Jesus said, “Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil” (John 3:19).

As followers of Christ, we are called to walk in the light—not by our feelings, not by culture’s latest definitions, but by the eternal Word of God. We must speak the truth in love—not with cruelty or condemnation, but with salty grace, conviction, and compassion.

The Gospel is not one of many options. It is the only way. Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Every other path, no matter how appealing, enticing, affirming, or inclusive it appears, leads to eternal destruction (Matthew 7:13).

So what now?

  • Pray for discernment. Ask God to reveal the truth to you and help you reject every lie.

  • Live UNASHAMED of the GOSPEL. Speak truth with grace. Boldness and kindness are not "hate speech."

  • Live faithfully. In your workplace, home, and community, let your integrity shine.

  • Hold fast to Scripture. It is the unchanging foundation in a world obsessed with change.

The world will twist words and chase trends, but Christ's saints follow The Savior who is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Let's WAKE UP so we are not caught unaware of Satan's schemes (2 Cor 2:11) or swayed by the patterns and traps of this age. Let us be salt and light! Let's shine the Light of Christ in the darkness, offering hope, not in slogans, but in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

“Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel.” - 2 Timothy 2:8
